A brief impression
During my time at FBE I created over 200 thumbnails for their YouTube channels. That’s a lot of scrolling, so you can peruse 20 of them in the gallery above.
YouTube thumbnails only get a moment of a viewer’s attention, so they need to be immediately eye-catching and rapidly communicate the video concept. YouTube’s mobile app autoplays videos after a second, meaning the thumbnail gets a single second to appear interesting to mobile viewers — so it needs make the most of it!
