REACT Lower Third Motion Graphics Template
A customizable lower third template for FBE editors, used when reactors are shown several videos in sequence.
All-in-one flexibility
FBE’s reaction-style content format frequently involves showing a sequence of videos to their cast of reactors. To make that more narratively clear, REACT producers wanted a graphic that editors could use to indicate progress through the video sequence. The graphic also had to include an option to assign a score to each video, cumulatively given by the reactors.
The editor for a given episode can use the Essential Graphics panel (left side of the nearby image) to customize their lower third from within their Adobe Premiere edit file, without having to crack open After Effects and edit the thing themselves.
Here’s a video of the motion graphics template in action!
The finished graphic is a modular score bar that allows editors to essentially build their own on-screen visual element. This allowed every video needing this type of graphic to use a single file, saving us from having to create individual variations for every possible combination of videos and scoring.
To ensure minimum file size for ease of use, this project was built entirely inside of Adobe After Effects.
