A dating show with a hidden twist

Surrodate is a YouTube dating show from React and FBE that pits looks against personality. One person enjoys a date with two people simultaneously — one in front of them, and a second behind the scenes, controlling everything the first person says.

We wanted this show to feel visually similar to recent reality dating shows like Love Island and Love is Blind, chosen for their colorful minimalist look and young personality.

The final product was designed in Adobe Photoshop and then imported into Adobe After Effects for animation.
